Kibbutz Shluhot is located in the Bet Shean valley at the foothills of the Gilboa mountains. Founded in 1948, the kibbutz is home to 200 members and their children. Our communal economy is based on agriculture: a state of the art dairy, one of the largest carrot plants in Israel, poultry and aqua culture. Surrounded by date and citrus orchards, fish ponds and fertile fields the beautifully landscaped kibbutz is one of 16 kibbutzim of the Religious Kibbutz movement.

Program
Our program is packed with activities from morning to evening. The day begins with tefillat shacharit in the bet Knesset, breakfast in the dining room and a daily sheur.

A typical camp day includes:
Athletics
Our sport program includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, hockey and football. These are played either at the outdoor kibbutz sports facilities or the local indoor air conditioned gymnasium. In addition, daily separate swimming at our kibbutz pool.

Enrichment activities
Kayitz BaKibbutz is dedicated to nurturing the creative side of our campers by offering activities such as: painting, sculpture, judaica making, drama, cooking, rikkudei am, aerobics, music, and shiatsu.

Special activities and programming:
Hikes, overnight camping, survivor day, working in the children’s zoo, scouting and navigation, obstacle course, all contribute to a unique experience for our campers.

Color war is one of the highlights of the program filled with great ruach and lively competition.

Tisha B’Av and 17 Tamuz are days of special programming emphasizing the importance of “Ahava bein Adam Lichavero”.

Night Activities
Every day after dinner and Maariv our campers participate in a varied program of night activities. These special programs include: talent show, karaoke, roller blading, night swimming, boat ride, kumzitz, capture the flag, night hikes, carnival and much more!!!

Trips
Our Kibbutz tour guides provide us with afternoon tours of the Gilboa region and day tours of the Galil and Golan. The campers have a special opportunity to explore by foot the beauty of the Northern region, as well as participate in many of the fun activities that the attractions in the area offer.

Shabbat
Shabbat at Kayitz BaKibbutz is a special experience. Opening with our traditional Shabbat circle and outdoor Kabalat Shabbat the campers themselves lead the tefillot, and then join the kibbutz members in their communal dining room. Zmirot, Divrei Torah, Tiyulei Shabbat, special Shabbat activities, all contribute to an inspiring Shabbat at the Kibbutz.
